Special occasions are made special by the presence of people that we love and care for. They celebrate with us during our milestones in life by expressing their congratulations and happiness for our achievements. Besides their presence, they may give us gifts to mark the occasion, gifts that are thoughtful and well-meant. We do the exact same thing for the people that we love since we know how it feels to be appreciated.

Sometimes though, we forget special occasions due to stress from work or other obligations. The people concerned may feel hurt and neglected; they may even think that we are not interested in keeping the relationship. Of course we know that it’s not true, but just the same, it might be difficult to explain what happened. We didn’t mean to forget, say, a friend’s birthday, there was no malice intended—but the relationship will become strained and at the worst, it will be broken. (more…)

Going on the inevitable business trip or much-awaited vacation can take us very far away from the comforts of our own home. The sojourn might take a week up to a few months in a local or foreign location, but the result is ultimately the same: homesickness! We start to miss our family and friends. Usually, being away from home makes a person feel more alone than ever due to the new, sometimes alienating, surroundings. Likewise, our family and friends miss us too. How do we bridge this gap? St. Hannibal Multi-Level School Foundation, Inc.

The St. Hannibal Multi Level School is an institution built to help poor children get high quality education. We took a tour of the St. Hannibal Multi Level School and found that they need help – a lot of it. This is why we’ve took it upon ourselves to dedicate a part of our income from our funeral flowers to help them raise funds and awareness so that they can get more kids in school.

Admiring someone means that we want to achieve the same things that the person has achieved in his or her life. It is holding someone in respect and high regard because of certain qualities that we see, or would like to see in us.
